Behaviour:
It can walk 30 km when it is 1 day old. It flies as fast as 95 km/h and makes non-stop flights of 1000 km, when it
is full grown.

Habitat:
This bird lives in salt marshes and coastal areas.

Feeding:
This bird eats plants and fish.

Threats:
The central predator of the Snow Goose is the Artic Fox.

Wintering:
It winters in the northeastern United States

Migration:
They migrate for long distances and it can fly very high.

Description:
There are two kinds of snow geese: the lesser snow geese are bluish and the greater snow geese are white.

Breeding:
They mate for life, taking another mate only if their partner dies. The geese arrive at their breeding grounds in early June, having already paired.

Nest:
The nest is usually hidden in a shallow hole in the ground and is made of bits of dry vegetation that the female finds near the nest.

Eggs:
4-5 white in colour.

Babies:
When the goslings leave their nest 24 hours after the last egg has hatched, they can walk, swim, dive, and feed.
